Race for Survival

Update: 12:48PM THIS morning, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) awarded the annual 2013 IOC trophy to Save the Children Fiji (SC Fiji) in recognition of their Race for Survival initiative last year.

The awards scheme, which was established back in 1985, has since distributed trophies annually to deserving recipients based on an annual theme.

This years theme was 150 years, Pierre de Courbetin, Sport as a School of Life and SC Fiji was awarded because of the emphasis they placed on nutrition and sports in Fiji.
