Four on criminal trespass charge

Salaseini Moceiwai
Friday, January 10, 2014

FOUR farmers of Delaivuna appeared in the Taveuni Magistrates Court early this week on a count each of criminal trespass.

They appeared before Magistrate Alipate Mataitini.

The court heard that on January 2, the group allegedly entered Ura Estate, the property of Winsome Investments Limited, without informing the estate manager.

It's alleged eight security officers caught the farmers and reported the matter to police.

Mr Mataitini warned the group not to enter the premises again or any other property belonging to the company.

The case has been adjourned to February 12.
