FIREFIGHTERS investigating the fire that destroyed a house in Seaqaqa on Wednesday will work with the FEA to ascertain the cause of the blaze.

NFA chief executive John O'Connor yesterday said firefighters in Labasa were working on the case.

"We will now work with the FEA officials because we believe the fire could have been related to some electrical fault," he said.

"Right now, investigations have started."

The house, which was home to 14 people, was razed on Wednesday morning.

Mr O'Connor advised the public to check their property thoroughly before going to sleep or leaving home.
