$405k upgrade

THE Nadi Municipal Market will get a facelift this year from a $405,000 government allocation.

Nadi special administrator Robin Ali said the council planned to start work on the market soon.

"We want to improve the outlook of the market and improve the facilities for the hundreds of market vendors who use it," he said.

"We have been given a total of $405,000 from government to do this work and we intend to use this money to upgrade the market like providing enough shelter for those who sit outside and improve the condition of the public restrooms."
