Trunk main repaired

RESIDENTS of Valebasoga in Labasa will start their new year with consistent water supply after the Water Authority of Fiji repaired a trunk main that was leaking in the area.

They had been facing intermittent water supply for the past three months as a result of the problem.

A Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) statement yesterday said there were disruptions in supply to the area after the trunk main was broken.

"This became a frequent problem. The main was repaired a fortnight ago," the statement said.

"Supply to the area is now normal."
