A BOAT that was reported missing with five people on board has been found.
The fibreglass boat powered by a 25 horsepower engine with five people on board left Lakeba at 3pm on Monday and was expected to arrive at Oneata at 4:30pm.
When the boat failed to arrive at its destination at the scheduled time, the matter was reported to the police, who searched for the vessel and its occupants from Tuesday.
The boat was found at 12:30pm yesterday, drifting between Tubou and Nasaqalau in the Lau Group.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the five people on board were safe, well and in good health.
She said they were resting at Nasaqalau Village.
