TOP goalkeeper Beniaminio Matainaqara and striker Uraia Loki have pledged their commitment to Nadi's 2014 Oceania Champions League campaign.

The duo were rumoured to be seeking their releases in the next transfer window at the end of February.

Matainaqara was speculated to be contemplating a move to Ba while Loki was to join the Abraham Watkins-coached Yoogali Football Club in Australia.

Both players attended Nadi's first training run in preparation for the Champion versus Champion series against Ba on Monday.

Nadi Football Association president Navneeda Gounder said they held fruitful discussions with Matainaqara and Loki about their future.

Gounder said both players were committed to the Shop N Save-sponsored team.

"They will play for Nadi in the Oceania Champions League," he said.

"Loki will be released after that. Eliki Ravosai and Lekima Gonerau missed the first training run. Coach Kamal Swamy will be working on the fitness level of the players this week."

Ba has won the CVC title 17 times while Nadi has yet to win.

The two teams will clash in the first match of the CVC series at Prince Charles Park on January 11.
