THE Shree Sanatan Dharm Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji believes Fijians must work together ahead of the general elections.
General secretary Vijendra Prakash said 2014 would be a very important year for all Fijians "and we look forward to welcoming the new year".
"The entire population is very anxious about 2014 as we expect the general election to take place and new leaders to be democratically elected," he said.
"The country also looks forward to gaining its full membership of all international organisations, so that like other countries we can also benefit from the assistance and support provided to the nation and our sporting bodies to be represented in tournaments like the Commonwealth Games.
"As people of this nation, we need to assist in every possible way to take this nation forward."
Mr Prakash said Fiji was blessed with religious communities with an abundance of forgiveness and tolerance for one another.
"All citizens need to gain confidence and assist it to move forward" he added.
