THE Fiji under-20 squad will march back into camp at the National Football Academy in Ba on Sunday.
Coached by Ravinesh Kumar, the team is preparing for the Oceania U20 playoffs which will be held in New Zealand in May 2014.
The winner of the competition will gain direct entry to the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup also hosted by New Zealand.
Fiji Football Association vice president and national team director Tarunesh Reddy said the squad would be in camp until January 17.
Reddy said plans were in the pipeline to take the team on an overseas tour.
"This is our best chance to qualify for the World Cup since New Zealand has direct entry being the hosts," he said.
"During the camp, the coaching staff will work on the technical aspects of the game. The players need to build combinations. They need to get game time. The side will play in the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League."
The fixtures of the first three rounds have been released, however, the national U20 side is not listed to play any games.
Reddy said they would be holding discussions with the National Football League board to work out their schedule in the competition.
The National Football League kicks off on January 18. Navua will host Rewa, Labasa will travel to Suva while Nadroga will host Lautoka.
