THE LTA has revoked a driver's licence after he was booked eight times for disobeying road rules.
Confirming this, authority CEO Naisa Tuinaceva said the driver was booked over the weekend alongside 50 other drivers.
Mr Tuinaceva said of these 50, 30 had their licences suspended for failing to adhere to the rules.
"Some of these drivers have had their suspension range from six months to one year depending on the seriousness of the offence," he said.
Mr Tuinaceva said most drivers were PSV drivers who continued to disregard the law. As for those booked, he said 50 per cent were young drivers below the age of 55.
"It's really sad to see how these drivers take the law into their own hands, some of them have been booked for offences like speeding.
"Just a general reminder to drivers — if you don't look after your licence well, we're going to take it out.
"Once they are back on the road, we will monitor them. If they continue to offend, we will cancel their licence."
