A NON-ALCOHOLIC and drug-free new year celebration has been planned by a group of youths in Nadi.
Known as the Praise Jam, the celebration would focus on bringing together Christian youths from across the country for a night of live music and entertainment while ringing in the new year and its challenges.
Events manager Keverieli Naitini said it had been widely known that youths sometimes used the new year as a means to drink and party.
"With the Praise Jam, it is an opportunity to reflect on the year that was and also have an opportunity to hear messages that would encourage and prepare them for the new year," he said.
The celebration will be held at the Votualevu Park and will start at 8pm.
