SISTERS Grace, 5, Fisi, 5, and three-year-old Ana Patolo, are expected to be discharged from hospital this week.

Police West spokeswoman Naina Ragigia says the sisters are recovering well from the injuries they suffered during the gruesome attack that killed their mother Sisi Patolo and baby sister Sarah near Viseisei Village a fortnight ago.

Mrs Ragigia said Grace, who was released by medical authorities to attend her mum's funeral at Viseisei in Lautoka last Friday, was back in Lautoka Hospital.

She said the five-year-old girl was released for the funeral before rejoining Ana and Fisi in their hospital beds.

"The three sisters are recovering well in hospital," said Mrs Ragigia.

"As for Grace, she was only released for the funeral and later joined her sisters in hospital."

Mokia Patolo, the father of the girls, also confirmed they were recovering well.

He said Grace wanted to be with her sisters.

"The girls are fast recovering. And as for Grace, she told me she wanted to go back to her sisters in hospital after the funeral," said Mr Patolo.
