Topline starts rally defence

DEFENDING champions Topline will start preparations for the Western Rally Championship from tomorrow.

The Topline Volleyball Association has released its training squad for the tournament which will be hosted by the Lautoka Volleyball Association next month.

Topline Volleyball Association president Ratu Viliame Naulivou said the training squad was made up of youths from the Natokowaqa area.

Ratu Viliame said they had no national reps.

"This is a young squad with big potential," he said.

"Our club competition took a break two weeks ago. This is just to allow the players to spend the festive period with their family and friends. The club competition will resume in the second week of January.

"However for the training squad members it is back to training. As defending champions the other clubs will be targeting us. So we have to be prepared to the best of our ability."

The following players are requested to attend training at the Natokowaqa Public Rental Board courts at 5pm tomorrow: Aisea Qoro Vakarua, Seni Kaloni Jr, Epeli Koroi, Timoci Nayacakalou, Jerry Nidawa, Sawani Boladravi, Iliesa Ragani, Maciu Vunisa, Waisea Ledua, Tuma Matereti Waqavesi, Asaeli Sega, Apolosi Navuni, Jonny Waisiki, Daniel Covert, Sitiveni Draunibaka, Alivereti Nakini, Serevi Radrokai, Isoa D, Tubuna Naulivou, Kaminieli, Waqa, Sailosi Niuvati, Viliame Niuvati, Makavu, Tai Jone, Kama, Bese.
