WHILE taxidrivers in Labasa Town wasted no time to take advantage of the influx in shoppers yesterday another group of taxi drivers gathered at the New World taxi stand to share in the spirit of the season.
Dressed in their blue bula wear, the crew of seven drivers decorated the taxi stand and turned up with refreshments for their customers.
Group spokesman Kishore Nair said they began the tradition last year.
Mr Nair said while the other taxidrivers made the most of business, they decided to do something different.
"We decided to invite the police patrolling the town during this busy period and other regular customers of ours," he said.
"This is our way of saying thank you to the general public in Labasa."
