DEFENDING champions Ba will commence its preparations for the Champion versus Champion series against Nadi on Monday.
The Men in Black lost to Nadi 0-1 in the semi-final of the Pacific Cup in Auckland, New Zealand last month.
Shop N Save Nadi went on to win the tournament after beating Labasa 1-0 in the final.
Last week, Ba lost two key players after Malakai Tiwa and Jone Ralulu flew out to Australia to join the Yoogali Club in the Griffith and District Amateur Soccer Association competition.
Ba team manager Arvin Singh rated Nadi highly.
Singh said the Jetsetters had quality players.
"There is not much break for our players this festive period," he said.
"We will start our training next week. The first match of the CVC is not far away. The national under-20 squad members will be joining us.
"We have put the Pacific Cup loss behind us and want to start 2014 on a high note. Ba has a busy schedule. We want to do well in the local competitions and the Oceania Champions League as well."
The first match of the CVC is scheduled to be played at Prince Charles Park on January 12. The return match will be played at Govind Park on January 19.
Ba holds the upper hand against Nadi in the CVC.
The two teams have clashed in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002 with Ba taking out the title on all occasions. Ba has won the CVC title 17 times and has been runner-up twice.
This year, Ba won the Battle of the Giants, Inter-District Championship and National Football League.
