CELEBRATING love and togetherness was the core message from the Lautoka, Ba and Tavua special administrator Praveen Bala to the people from the three municipalities.
"During this Christmas holiday and going forward into the new year, I urge you all to work together and put your family, community and country at the forefront at all times," he said.
"I also commend the police and medical personnel for sacrificing time with their families during Christmas to ensure that we are all taken care of and kept safe."
Mr Bala said while Lautoka City and Ba Town had put up decorations for the festive season, Christmas celebrations in Tavua were a muted affair subsequent to the passing of the Tui Tavua.
Sigatoka special administrator Jay Whyte said the people of the Coral Coast centre could look forward to exciting developments in the riverside town next year.
"I wish all the people of Sigatoka, family and friends a very safe and happy Christmas and a wonderful 2014.
"Obviously the market project will be our focus in the first part of the new year."
