POLICE have stepped up the search for a 65-year-old man after the death of a 40-year-old woman from burns she suffered as a result of a domestic dispute at the Natavora Water Bar and Restaurant on the Coral Coast on Monday.
Four teams have been dispatched to various parts of Nadroga in search of Eliki Suka after his wife Naomi Kolinisau passed away at the Lautoka Burns Unit at 9.30am on Wednesday.
Police media liaison West Naina Ragigia pleaded for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward. "We are asking for people with any information to please call into your nearest police post or station," she said.
Mr Kolinisau is a suspect in the alleged domestic violence case after a security guard at the premises witnessed an altercation between the couple before he allegedly doused her with kerosene and set her alight.
Meanwhile, the couple's daughter, Vikatoria Kolinisau, 8, is admitted at the Lautoka Hospital with 38 per-cent burns to her body.
