A 43-YEAR-OLD woman and her eight-year-old daughter are admitted at the Lautoka Hospital after sustaining serious burns following a fire at the Natavora Waters Restaurant and Music Bar on the Coral Coast yesterday.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said they had yet to establish the cause of the fire but it was being classified as arson. "We are on the lookout for the husband and father of the duo as they were seen together before the fire," she said.

"There are allegations that it was a domestic dispute.

"The woman is admitted with 60 per cent burns while her daughter has sustained close to 30 per cent burns."

Ms Naisoro said investigations into the matter were continuing. NFA CEO John O'Connor said the authority received a call from Fiji Hideaway Resort around 8am yesterday that the property was on fire.

"We arrived at the scene and the building was fully engulfed in flames," he said.

"We managed to put out the fire but the building has been extensively damaged."

Mr O'Connor confirmed initial investigations into the cause of the fire had started.
