FOUR teams have entered the Lautoka Cricket Association league competition which will start this week.
Moce, Nakavu, Danam and UniFiji will play in the Twenty20 version of the game which will be held for six weeks.
Lautoka Cricket Association events manager Rukesh Patel said all games would be played at the Central College ground in Lautoka.
Patel said plans were in the pipeline to hold the Super Sixers Championship also.
"Cricket Fiji will be helping us stage the competitions," he said. "We have opted for the Twenty20 version for the league because it is faster and more interesting.
"Nakavu and Moce have some senior players. Danam will be made up of players who are of Sri Lankan origin. The UniFiji will have players who are studying at the University of Fiji campus in Saweni."
Former national reps Vilikesa Driu and Patrick Tuidraki will be part of the Nakavu team.
Mosese Ravula will play for Moce.
Meanwhile, Nilesh Kapadia has been elected the new Lautoka Cricket Association president.
Doctor Parneet Harish and Vinesh Patel are the vice-presidents. Alvin Kumar is the treasurer while Bhavini Patel is the secretary.
