CHILDREN of St Christoper's Home, Dilkusha, and residents of senior citizens homes were treated to a night of entertainment at the Christmas in the Park event in Suva last night.
Organised by the Hibiscus Events Group, FBC and Vodafone, the event also attracted people from all walks of life to the My Suva Park along the Muanikau foreshore in Suva to catch a glimpse of the performances.
Ligavatu Gukisuva of Vodafone said they wanted to share the Christmas spirit with the children and the residents of the home.
"The children of Dilkusha and St Christopher's and residents of the home were the chief guests on the night and it was just a chance for us to share the spirit of Christmas," Mr Gukisuva said.
"We also gave them gifts at the end of the night and you could really see the joy on their faces and for us it just made this festive season even more meaningful.
Mr Gukisuva said the organisers were pleased with the turnout on the day and were thankful to all who attended for making the event a success.
"We had planned for a good turnout last night but the numbers exceeded our expectations and we want to thank all that attended."
He said singers who performed at the event included Ilisavani Cava, Savuto Vakadewavosa and Saimoni Vuatalevu.
"Other acts included Laisa Vulakoro, performances from the Kaila! Star Quest competitors and the Masti Dance group."
