BLACKHAWKS volleyball club is the new winner of the Kinoya Volleyball Association Christmas tournament.
This is after they beat Chinatown by three straight sets in the final at the Savai courts yesterday to pocket $300.
Blackhawks beat a star-studded Seven-up side 2-0 in the semi-final. Seven-up had top Marist players led by national rep Qillu Elliot.
Chinatown beat Dee-Brothers 2-1. Former national sevens rep Maleli Bula featured for Dee-Brothers.
Tournament organiser Viliame Lewanavanua said the final was very entertaining.
"It was a tough final," he said.
"It's the first time we're hosting this tournament and congratulations to Blackhawks for winning it."
Rebels club of Raiwai was ranked number one heading into the tournament.
However, the Raiwai-based club did not participate despite showing interest to be part of the event.
