Rebels chase another victory

REBELS Volleyball Club from Raiwai is looking to win its second tournament in a row in Savai, Kinoya.

Last week, the side scooped the D-Brothers tournament and today, they'll be competing for the $400 Kinoya Christmas tournament.

Chinatown from Nakasi, Seven-up from Lami, Blackhawks, Bombers, Velau and last week's runner-up D-Brothers will be locking horns with the champion club.

Rebels, one of Fiji's top volleyball clubs have stamped its mark in recent domestic tournaments is ranked number one heading to the event. They will be out to end the season on a high note.

Tournament official Senivenuisi Namata said today would be an exciting clash as teams would want a volleyball reason to celebrate Christmas.

"Right now 10 teams have confirmed their participation," he said.

"Rebels from Raiwai is on of the favourites to win because they just won a tournament here last week. This will be an early Christmas gift to the team that wins."

The tournament starts at 9am.
