ABOUT 245 students from the West graduated from the Fiji National University's Nadi campus yesterday with high hopes of joining the workforce and serving Fiji.

And about 600 teachers and the first batch of commercial agriculture students are expected to graduate next month.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony Education Minister Filipe Bole said with those numbers, more than 2300 students would have graduated from FNU — all of whom would contribute positively to Fiji's economy.

"Government has certainly realised the good work this institution has been doing and also the potential it has of becoming the best in the region," he said.
