MEMBERS of the public are encouraged to visit the elections office in the four divisions to check their details recorded in the National Register for Voters.
Acting permanent secretary Responsible for Elections Mohammed Saneem said in order for the book to carry up-to-date information of the 540,000 registered voters, members of the public should clarify their details in the book.
The books are accessible to members of the public from today until Christmas Eve.
"We want to make sure the register contains the correct and most up-to-date information so that we can assign individuals to the appropriate polling station," Mr Saneem said in a Ministry of Information statement yesterday.
He said those who had not registered could still include their names by registering at the display centres around the country.
