League dates set

THE Fiji Football Association has finally made up its mind to start the National Football League next year.

After earlier announcing that the league would start last September then November, yesterday, Fiji FA competition manager Amitesh Pal said the league would start in January.

"It will start in January, that is confirmed," Pal said.

Pal confirmed they had earlier announced to start the league in September.

"Yes we announced in September that we will start the league and then it was November but now it will start next month."

In the opening round, Navua hosts Rewa and Navua at Thomson Park, Labasa travels to the Capital City to face Suva at the ANZ Stadium and Nadroga plays Lautoka at home in Lawaqa Park.

The Nadroga and Lautoka match kicks off at 2pm while the Navua-Rewa and Suva-Labasa matches will start 3pm.

Fixtures: Week 1 (Jan 18th /19th)

* Thomson Park, Navua — 3pm Navua vs. Rewa.

* ANZ Stadium, Suva — 3pm Suva-Labasa.

* Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka — 2pm Nadroga-Lautoka.

Week Two (Jan 25th /26th)

* Subrail Park, Labasa — 2pm Labasa-Nadroga.

* Thomson Park, Navua — 3pm Navua-Nadi.

* Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori — 3pm Rewa-Lautoka.

* Govind Park, Ba — 3pm Ba-Suva.

Week 3 (February 1st /2nd)

* Govind Park, Ba — 3pm Ba-Navua.

* Churchill Park, Lautoka — 3pm Lautoka-Labasa.

* ANZ Stadium, Suva — 3pm Suva-Rewa.

* Prince Charles Park, Nadi — 3pm Nadi-Nadroga.
