THE Fiji 7s squad members were reminded to watch their diet during the festive season ahead of the third leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series.
Yesterday the players had a fitness test at various centres around the country before given break for Christmas and new year.
Team official Paula Biu said the team would regroup on January 6 for week-long camp.
He reiterated coach Ben Ryan's comments adding players have to sacrifice a lot to make the team for the Las Vegas and Wellington leg of the series.
Fiji is in the "pool of death" in Las Vegas with New Zealand, Australia and Scotland in Pool B.
"The players had a fitness test to gauge where they stand and what they have to do to be in shape for the next leg," Biu said.
"It is really important for the players to remain fit considering the pool we are in for the Las Vegas 7s and they have to sacrifice a lot to remain in contention for a place in the team."
Fiji is placed third on 48 points on the series points table behind leaders New Zealand (58) and South Africa (56).
