ABDUL Jalal won the major prize in the Lautoka Golf Club weekly competition at the Golf Links course over the weekend.
The Lautoka businessman won the J.Kevi Group of Companies-sponsored 12 hole-stroke event on Saturday.
Jalal scored 34 to grab first spot followed by club trustee Raymond Singh on second place on 35 while Prem Chand finished third on 36.
Vijay Ram managed the fourth spot on 38 with veteran Gaffar Ali claiming the fifth place on 39.
Jalal also hit the longest drive on the 6th hole with Singh and Ali recording the nearest-to-the-pin prizes on the second and ninth holes, respectively.
Meanwhile the postponed club championship semi-finals will take place on Sunday from 10am.
In the A-grade, Singh will play James Krishna while in B-grade, Ali will face Jalal and Abdul Khan plays Ram.
In the C-grade competition, Wiliki Takiveikata will take on Shaamal Ram while Doctor Vimal Murthi plays Subash Chand.
Club spokesman Ali has confirmed the course was fully mowed after the rainy spell.
