Easter Tournament Qualifiers
THE schedule for next week's 2014 Easter Tournament Qualifiers for the Western and Central Divisions has been released. Four teams will contest six matches over five days, with three spots up for grabs in 2014's biggest tournament of the year. Each team will play three matches, which will all be held in Suva.
All matches will be played according to the International Cricket Council's 50-over match regulations, with play beginning at 10am each day.
Today: West I-Suva Crusaders at Suva Grammar School grounds, Tuesday: West II-Suva Warriors at Suva Grammar School grounds, Wednesday: West II-Suva Crusaders at Suva Grammar School grounds, Thursday: Suva Warriors-West I at Suva Grammar School grounds, Friday: Suva Warriors-Suva Crusaders at Suva Grammar School grounds, West I-West II at Albert Park ground two.
NETBALL tournament will be held on January 15-16 at Draiba Village grounds at 8am. Registration fees is $80 per team. Winner $500, runner-up $200 and losing semi-finalist $75 and best player $50. Interested teams in Nadroga/Navosa are welcome to participate and coaching clinic will also be held on the day.
Only first 24 teams will be accepted and no late entries after January 10. AGM for Navosa Netball will also be held on January 15 from 7pm and all clubs to send two reps to attend the AGM. Contact manager Sifini 8406650, Judy 9949410 or Nene Vilise at Draiba Village.
We will also run development teams (U13, U15, U17 and U19) during our new season next year. All development teams will receive a ball each for their clubs from sponsors Greenman Landscaping Limited.
THE Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament is scheduled for March 7-8, 2014 at the ANZ Stadium. Limited spaces only. Registration closes February 19 (64 men's teams, eight women's teams and six classic teams). Contact Anare Wailevu for payment details 7027462.
THE Uluinakau 7s tournament (previously known as the Namarai 7s) will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on January 10-11. Forty men's teams, 10 Indo-Fijian teams and eight women's teams are invited to participate. Registration fee for the men's tournament is $300, Indo-Fijian tournament $150 and $100 for the women's.
Prizemoney for the men's competition is $5000, runner-up $2000, losing semi-finalists get $700, Plate winner gets $600, runner $500, Bowl winner $400, runner-up $300, Shield winner $200, runner-up $100.

THE QVSOB of Suva invites rugby players from the ages of 18 to 30 to attend training at Marks Park from 5.30pm Monday to Thursday for 7s and 15s program. Contact Rusi 9430634 or 3547205.
TABLE Tennis training clinics for schoolchildren and beginners are held at the Garden City Hall (on top of Kia Motors) every Mondays, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm to 5pm. Adults are invited to play table tennis on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Sundays from 1pm to 3pm at the same venue.
