MITIELI Nacagilevu is eyeing to reclaim his spot in the national sevens team.
The Nadroga flyer featured prominently for West in the third AON East versus West Challenge yesterday where he played the full 80 minutes.
He was ruled out from all levels of rugby following a serious neck injury during the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s last year.
He said he had recovered from his injury and had been playing well recently.
"My aim now is to get back to full fitness for sevens competition," Nacagilevu said.
"I think I would be able to work well with new national sevens coach Ben Ryan."
He said he was aiming to play in more local sevens tournaments to prove his worth to the Englishman.
"I know I can make it back but I will have to prove it by playing in sevens tournaments.
"It will be tough because a lot of players are already part of the Fiji side who have been impressive in local tournaments.
"But I want to play for Fiji once again and I will try my best to show to Ryan that I can play for Fiji.
"I will need to get back into full fitness for sevens competition and I can do that by training hard and playing as many games as possible."
The Fiji 7s squad will attend a fitness test on Monday in Suva.
