Update: 2:00PM A TWO-day workshop for remand inmates began this morning on added values of fish products yesterday at the Suva Remand Centre.
The workshop was facilitated by representatives from Indonesias Ministry of Marine and Fisheries Affairs.
It showed inmates that the flesh of fish can also be used to make fish balls and crackers.
They were also shown how to use the fish skin to make belts and wallets and their waste for animal feed.
There were 25 participants, 17 inmates, five staff members of the Fiji Corrections Service and three spouses.
