Fiji Golf Club

THE Fiji Golf Club will host its Season Closing event on Saturday. It is going to be an Ambrose event sponsored by Bank of South Pacific. Entry fees is $120 per team and includes T-shirt, lunch, towel, and prizegiving cocktail. Registration is at 10am and tee-off at 11am.

Nadi

THE season closing event this Saturday will be sponsored by Gibson Freight and will be followed by the club's annual general meeting on Sunday. Requesting the presence of all club members for the AGM.

RUGBY

Gaunavou 7s

The Gaunavou 7s will be held at the Ba Market grounds this Saturday. Registration fee is $100 and winner walks away with $1000. The first 24 teams will be accommodated. Registration closes on Thursday. Contact Driu 8402853, Vili 9735896.

Marist 7s

THE Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament is scheduled for March 7-8, 2014 at the ANZ Stadium. Limited spaces only. Registration closes February 19 (64 men's teams, eight women's teams and six classic teams). Contact Anare Wailevu for payment details 7027462.

Salato Annual 7s

THE Salato Annual 7s tournament will be held at the Suva Grammar School grounds on December 20. First 24 teams will be accommodated. Entry fee is $220. Cup winner gets $2000, runner-up $800, Plate winner $300, runner-up $200, Bowl winner gets $150, runner-up $100. Prizes also for Cup and Plate losing semi-finalists. Uluinakau 7s

THE Uluinakau 7s tournament (previously known as the Namarai 7s) will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori on January 10-11. Forty men's teams, 10 Indo-Fijian teams and eight women's teams are invited to participate. Registration fee for the men's tournament is $300, Indo-Fijian tournament $150 and $100 for the women's. Prizemoney for the men's competition is $5000, runner-up $2000, losing semi-finalists get $700, Plate winner gets $600, runner $500, Bowl winner $400, runner-up $300, Shield winner $200, runner-up $100. Indo-Fijian winner $500, runner-up $200, women's winner $500 runner-up $200. QVSOB

THE QVSOB of Suva invites rugby players from the ages of 18 to 30 to attend training at Marks Park from 5.30pm Monday to Thursday for 7s and 15s program. Contact Rusi 9430634 or 3547205.

NETBALL

Greenman

NETBALL tournament will be held on January 15-16 at Draiba Village grounds at 8am.Registration fees is $80 per team. Winner $500, runner-up $200 and losing semi finalist $75 and best player $50. Interested teams in Nadroga/Navosa are welcome to participate and coaching clinic will also be held on the day. Only first 24 teams will be accepted and no late entries after January 10. TABLE TENNIS

Suva

TABLE Tennis training clinics for schoolchildren and beginners are held at the Garden City Hall (on top of Kia Motors) every Mondays, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm to 5pm. Adults are invited to play table tennis on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Sundays from 1pm to 3pm at the same venue. All playing equipment are provided. Nadi

THE Nadi Volleyball Association fundraising tournament will be held at the AFL hard courts in Namaka tomorrow and Saturday. Registration fee $100 per team for women's and men's categories. The first 24 registered teams will be accommodated. Total prize: $2000. Security Forces

KNOCKOUT at DAV College courts on Saturday at 9am to commence with the 2013-2014 season and also Vulaca team selection will be announced after knock-out. Registration fees $50 for men and women. Draws will be done at the courts and also a meeting at 3pm at the Immigration Department, Suva on Thursday. Interested teams to send a rep to this meeting. SOCCER

Fiji FA North Trial

NATIONAL U20 coach Ravinesh Kumar will be in Labasa to conduct trials for the under-20 and U17 national teams. We request the assistance of all northern districts to inform and send their best players to the trials. We also request the assistance and support of parents, teachers and coaches to encourage the best players to attend. Players have to be born in 1995 and 1996 for the U20 team and 1998 and 1999 for the U17 team. Trials will be from 9am to 12noon and 3pm to 4.30pm today. Trials on Friday, December 13 will be from 9am to 11am.

Nadi U17

A TRIAL will be held for all under-17 players on Monday at Prince Charles Park from 11am. All players born in 1998 and 1999 are eligible to try out for the team. For more information contact the Nadi Soccer office 6705707.

Penalty shoot-out

THE penalty shoot-out, in aid of Kalyan Sports Club, Nabua, will be held at the Rishikul Primary School grounds on Saturday from 6pm. Entry fee is $3. Winner gets a male goat worth $200. Runner-up gets Fiji Bitter. Food, grog will be on sale. Contact Ashok Roy 9972895 for more information.
