THE people of Tavua Village will ensure the vision set out for them by the late Tui Tavua, Ratu Jale Waisale Kuwe Ratu, will be accomplished.

This was the promise made by the Tavua district rep Apisalome Ulusova.

The people of Tavua were to benefit from a number of developmental projects mapped out by the late chief.

However, those plans had been put on hold following his death.

Mr Ulusova said Ratu Jale had a number of projects planned for the village to improve the standard of living.

"He had just returned from China meeting with investors to discuss a few potential investments for the village and the town.

"He had a lot of dreams that he wanted to come true for the village," he said.

He said while those dreams were on hold following the chief's death, the villagers would not let those plans fade away.

The late Tui Tavua passed away on November 30 at his home in Waila, Nausori.

His funeral will be held in Tavua this weekend.
