AFTER a lapse of 15 years, the Bua Provincial Council office has planned to reorganise the Adi Bua Festival to raise funds for their children's scholarship scheme.

Roko tui Bua Rupeni Kunaturaga yesterday said the festival was an opportunity to raise about $150,000 for the scheme.

"The last Adi Bua Festival was held in 1998 in Suva and now we have planned to organise it here in Nabouwalu," he said.

"Our focus now is our children's education and we aim to raise about $150,000 during this event.

"We have yet to decide on the date of the festival but we can confirm that it is going to be held next year.

"A team from our office visited all the children of Bua in other parts of Fiji last week and they have also informed them about this proposed plan."
