THE North Boxing Association's second round of competitions was hailed a success as 20 boxers turned up to take part yesterday.
Labasa interim amateur association chairman Netani Ledua said boxers from as far as Kubulau in Bua took part in the friendly matches.
Ledua said the first round had managed to reignite the passion for the sport in the North.
"Today we had a full sitting capacity at the Labasa Civic Centre and we are happy with the support that we are also getting from the Ministry of Youth and Sports," he said.
"This is the second round of competitions and we have also recognised the number of raw talent that we have here in the North.
"Matches today included the light, welter, middle and heavy weight categories."
