FORMER national soccer rep Pita Rabo will be a key man for the Civic side when they compete in the National Club Championship this weekend.
The New Zealand-based midfielder scored the first goal for the side in their 2-0 victory over North Pole in October to help them win the Suva Local League title.
Civic club president Ritesh Pratap said they would be counting on Rabo once again to get them through the Southern Division competition and into the national play-offs next weekend.
"He is the most senior player in the side and the players respect him a lot," he said.
"He will definitely be the player we will be relying on to make the moves and provide that spark in attack.
"Being an experienced midfielder, we will be relying on him to control the game for us."
The side has been preparing well for the past few weeks and just a few days ago found out they have been pooled with Lokia United of Rewa and Rangers of Lami for the Kriz Signs sponsored-competition on Sunday.
"Our only threat in our pool is Lokia United but we don't really know much about Rangers.
"But since this competition (NCC) is for the best clubs in district, they (Rangers) could give us a good run for our money."
Meanwhile, Civic will enjoy playing their games at Bidesi Park.
"The ground will not be a problem for us and we are just looking forward to the competition."
