NONE of the clubs from Nadroga will compete in the National Club Championship this weekend.
Downtown and Coastal were nominated from the district for the Kriz Signs-sponsored competition.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Bob Kumar confirmed the two would not be part of the Western Division competition that would be played at Govind Park in Ba today and tomorrow.
"Downtown withdrew their nomination and Coastal was disqualified for failing to have proper registration of players," he said.
Kumar said since there are now less teams competing in the Western Division, they had to re-look at their qualification process for the national play-offs that will take place next week.
"According to the original qualification process, three teams from West, three from Southern Division and two from the North would qualify for the national play-offs.
"But since North is not competing this year, we would re-look at the qualification process.
"Now that teams from Nadroga are out, three clubs from the Western competition will qualify and five from the Southern zone will qualify.
"This means the two pool winners from the West and the third best placed team and the four pool winners from the South and the fifth best placed team will compete in the national play-offs that will be held next weekend at Prince Charles Park in Nadi."
