THE Flying Fijians have two top teams lined up for the Northern Tour next year.
Following an improved performance from the side in this year's tour, the team has managed to secure matches against Wales and France.
France has confirmed November 8 to play Fiji while Wales is yet to finalise a date.
Fiji Rugby Union board member and acting chief executive officer Doctor Berlin Kafoa said it was great news for Fiji.
He said the matches would also assist in the 2015 Rugby World Cup preparation.
"We are very happy that the top teams are giving us the opportunity to play against them. The more Test matches the Flying Fijians have before the world cup, the better our preparation will be," Dr Kafoa said.
"Our poll rating (rankings) in the 15s code can only get better through this."
Fiji is placed on the 11th spot in the International Rugby Board rankings following their two wins in this year's tour.
Fiji defeated Portugal 36-13 and Romania 26-7 while it lost to Italy 31-37 and Barbarians 19-43.
"We can only become better when we play teams like Wales and France. We just have to ensure appropriate preparation before the Northern tour in November next year."
The Flying Fijians will also start its campaign for participation at the 2015 Rugby World Cup by playing in the Oceania qualifier next against Cook Islands.
If Fiji makes it past Cook Islands they will be slotted into RWC Pool A where they will face two former world champions in England and Australia. They meet hosts England at Twickenham in their opening game.
