ABOUT 500 villagers in the Nalotawa community in Ba have better access to health care with the opening of a new nursing station in the area.
Commissioner Western Commander Joeli Cawaki said the new health facility and benefits associated with it was reflective of government's commitment towards better health care services for all Fijians, regardless of their geographical locations.
"The best health care for all Fijians is a priority and it is now a right of every Fijian as stipulated in the Fijian Constitution," Cdr Cawaki said in a government statement.
"This is part of our major projects, which also sees the renovation of some other nursing stations and health centres in the Western Division."
Another nursing station was recently opened for the people of Dobuilevu in Ra and surrounding areas. A total of $2.8million was spent on the two projects in Nalotawa and Dobuilevu.
