IN Fiji, the name Suhasi Dhami will not attract much attention. But Abha Prasad is familiar to most.
The popular character on one of India's longest running TV seriels Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli is in the country to perform in eight shows alongside Bollywood comedian Jimmy Moses.
The shows are organised by Tri Vision entertainment from New Zealand and one of the major sponsors is Flour Mills of Fiji Limited.
FMF marketing manager Poonam Kritika said they were approached by the New Zealand-based company for sponsorship.
"They had known that FMF is associated with many sponsorships like the Chow Games and they asked if we were interested in sponsoring this Bollywood show," she said.
"For the past two years that the Indian serial has been playing on FBC TV, it has gained a wide audience.
"It is not just the Indo-Fijians who watch it but iTaukei as well."
Ms Dhami arrived in the country yesterday and will perform in her first show at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, today.
"There will be shows in every town of Viti Levu.
"On Vanua Levu, the show will be held in Labasa."
