THE Suva Kaji under-14 rugby side will be leaving the country for Australia today as part of its annual development tour.
During the tour, the Willie Daurewa-coached side will play three matches against the Sydney Divisional U14 team which will be this weekend.
The Sydney Divisional side finished fourth in this year's NSW U14 Championship.
"Its part of the development program which started when these guys were in U9. Most of the players in this team were part of the initial tour and have progressed with the team through the grades," coach Daurewa said.
"It's a good experience and exposure for them. We have players like Henry Speight who have come through the similar program."
Daurewa said during the tour they would also undergo a clinic to be conducted by the NSW Waratahs club.
"The officials and players will take part in this clinic which will emphasise on the development of rugby at the grassroots level."
Meanwhile Williams and Gosling sponsored the team's uniform which was manufactured by the Uprising Rugby Fiji.
URF representative Ryan MacDonald said they were pleased to associate themselves with Suva Kaji and hoped to continue with the partnership.
