A DELEGATION from the Lau Provincial Council office recently completed the registration of all Lauans residing in the provinces of Cakaudrove, Bua and Macuata.
Acting roko tui Lau Joeli Nagera said a team recently visited the provinces for this purpose.
Mr Nagera said this was in line with provincial council's plan of registering all Lauans in the Vola Ni Kawa Bula.
"The team had begun their registration from Bua before proceeding to Cakaudrove and Macuata last week," he said.
"We will also be carrying out registration processes in the other three divisions."
iTaukei Affairs Board CEO Colonel Apakuki Kurusiga said he was aware of the exercise.
"The exercise is important for the iTaukei people so that they be registered and be recognised as owners of resources," he said.
"The process also establishes an individual is of iTaukei heritage."
