MISS Fiji Priscilla Reddy is ready for the research topic category on Friday during the opening of the Miss South Pacific pageant in the Solomon Islands.
Contestants chose their research topic question on Monday with Ms Reddy choosing politics.
"She has a very capable team supporting her not only in the Solomons but here in Fiji as well to ensure she presents this topic and our country in the best way possible," said her chaperone and former Miss South Pacific queen Alisi Rabukawaqa.
Ms Rabukawaqa said Ms Reddy was enjoying herself, visiting places and schools to boost her confidence.
"Priscilla will be presenting second during the competition, so that will also be in every appearance that they make as contestants."
On Saturday, the contestants will be judged on their traditional attire, sarong, talent and public judging question before the 2014 Miss South Pacific is crowned.
