"WE have been waiting a long time for this," said Adi Vika Lalai.
The 34-year-old pottery and artifact maker from Lawai Village in Sigatoka was referring to the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Fijian Crafted licence.
Mrs Lalai, a mother of three young children, said being acknowledged by the government as the producer of authentic indigenous handicraft meant a lot to her and her family.
"With this licence, I can proudly put the Fijian Crafted logo on all my goods and also teach people who are interested," she said.
She said making artifact was a good industry.
