THE Fiji FA Women's Inter-District Championship, postponed earlier this month, will now be played later this month at Govind Park in Ba.
Fiji FA's Amitesh Pal said the event would now be held on November 29 to December 1.
All the districts were in full training and headed for the showdown in the soccer-crazy town last weekend when the tournament was put on hold because of bad weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the Oceania FC reports that women's football continues to gain ground in the region with an English FA Youth National Team Coaches workshop set to round out a year development milestones.
"The workshop was made possible through support from FIFA and will see acting England women's head coach and England U-23 women's head coach Brent Hills and English FA coach educator and player development consultant John Allpress bring their expertise to the region," the OFC reported.
OFC women's development officer Nicola Demaine said it was fantastic to be able to call on the experienced coaches like Hills and Allpress to help develop women's football in Oceania.
"One coach from each of OFC's Member Associations will attend the workshop with the expectation that they will learn new skills that can then be applied back in their country," Demaine said.
"All of the participants are youth national team coaches from U-15 to U-20 with the workshop aimed at teaching them about preparing a team for, and managing a team at, tournaments."
