THEY have always come up with creative ideas of how to go about celebrating special occasions as a group.
And this time, they decorated their taxi stand with flowers, crepe papers and sweets to celebrate Diwali with their customers in style.
The taxidrivers at New World Supermarket and Reddy St in Labasa also wore the same coloured shirt for a pre-Diwali celebration over the weekend.
Speaking on behalf of the drivers, Kishore Nair said they made it their business to not only celebrate Diwali but also Christmas, Fiji Day and the New Year celebrations as a group.
"Apart from just celebrating at home, we also celebrate such special occasions with our customers," he said.
"This is a way of showing how happy we are to be celebrating yet another special occasion. For this Diwali, we all decided to bring sweets from home and yaqona for our customers.
"We see this as a way of providing the best and efficient service to our customer and we are happy to know that they really enjoy our company."
Mr Nair said this year's festival of lights was also a time for them to generously give sweets to their customers.
"We will continue to celebrate with our customers because this is not only a way of fostering our relationships but also our culture and tradition."
