"WORK hard at getting better at what you love because you can never stop getting better."
This was the message from the Common Kings to artists here in Fiji who love music or any other form of art.
"A lot of what we do is taking our art very seriously," group member and Fiji-born Lui Ivan Kirimaua said.
"It might come across as fun but there's a certain way to project fun in a way that is reflective of who you are. And to just be really serious about it, not to take yourself so seriously, but always seek guidance from people who have been successful in the area you're trying to go into."
The group also encouraged budding musicians and artists to be humble with each achievement.
"Always be humble. We try and keep each other grounded and so far, it's working.
"But don't forget that you have to practise, practise, practise, it's so important."
