SUVA Cricket Association has deferred the opening of its 2013/14 season.
This follows successive postponement of Cricket Fiji's Elite Player League competition because of bad weather in the Capital City.
SCA president Adriu Misiki said they would start their season once the EPL competition was over.
The EPL competition which is Cricket Fiji's concept of maintaining the player pool for the national duties is supposed to start tomorrow at Albert Park.
It will feature Fiji Residents, Fiji Expats, Fiji under-23 and Fiji U18 teams.
Misiki said they would give players chance to feature in the EPL before concentrating for their clubs.
"This new season will be an exciting one. We have four new clubs coming in this year. They are Komo, FNU, Covenant Brothers and Makos," he said.
"We have also done a structural change to our competition and split it into two tiers — premier and A-grade competition."
Misiki said the top eight teams from the 2012/13 season would play in the premier competition while the remaining eight would feature in the A-grade.
He said they hoped to improve the competition level through this.
