A MAN posing to be an officer with FICAC has been released on bail after he appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
Samuel Zinck of Vugalei in Lami has been charged with three counts of falsely pretending to be a FICAC officer.
It is alleged that on March 7 last year, Mr Zinck approached Subramani Naidu, the director of Nakasi Tyre Centre pretending to be a FICAC officer.
On the second count, Mr Zinck approached the director of Newmart Auto Sales Limited Saizad Mohammed on March 15 last year also pretending to be the same.
On the third count, Mr Zinck between May 14 and June 24 this year approached businessman Waisake Eroni Delai also posing as a FICAC officer.
He has been released on strict bail conditions.
Mr Zinck is to report to the FICAC office every Friday between 6am and 6pm.
He is not to reoffend during his bail period.
He is to surrender all his travel documents and not to apply for any travel documents until the completion of the matter.
Prosecution has been informed to notify the Immigration Department on the court's order.
The matter has been adjourned to November 14.
