THE Macuata Provincial Council meeting hangs in the balance as members of the council wait for levies from members of the province before it could be convened.
Roko tui Macuata Sitiveni Lalibuli said the provincial levies were needed to fund the meeting.
"At the moment, there has been no clear indication from the chairman and Tui Macuata, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere, on whether the meeting will take place," Mr Lalibuli said.
"We are still awaiting the provincial levies from members of the province so that we can convene the provincial meeting."
Meanwhile, the Cakaudrove Provincial Council meeting is scheduled for the end of November.
Roko tui Cakaudrove Bulutani Mataitawakilai was out at a district meeting within the province and could not be contacted for an update on their meeting agenda.
He had, however, said they were in the final stages of nominating a council chairman.
The Bua Provincial Council is the only one of the three that has set a date for its meeting.
Roko tui Bua Rupeni Kunaturaga told this newspaper their meeting was scheduled for November 14 and 15.
