ACTING commissioner northern Alipate Bolalevu reaffirmed that construction plans for the Middle Point port of entry in Macuata are progressing.
"We now look forward to the announcement of next year's budget to gauge our next step towards our earlier plans," Mr Bolalevu said.
It was earlier reported that the survey of the proposed Middle Point port of entry at Naduri in Macuata was completed last year by the Ministry of Lands at a cost of about $14,000.
Permanent secretary Tevita Boseiwaqa said last year that a group of surveyors had completed a detailed topography survey beyond and above the high water mark in the area.
This, he said, was conducted last year. Mr Boseiwaqa added that the drawing plan of the project had also been completed.
